It's cliche to say it's comendable, and it is.

It's just as clich to say that none of us were thinking like that at that age, and we weren't.

I still have to ask, and I don't mean to detract from what she did. It is comendable, and I wasn't thinking like that at her age.

How did she deal with the chafing? You do know the expression about a hairshirt. Maybe that was her point. Any thoughts?

You might even get some rude comments, but the law can't address that. Rude is a subjective value. However, if your husband or boyfriend is there, he'll take care of it for you.
